Monument to the fallen of the community of Ampelokipoi

In the Municipal Community of Ampelokipi, in the courtyard of the church of St. Nicholas, in the year 1984, a marble monument was constructed in memory of the fallen residents of the village in the various wars of the nation. The front of the monument is decorated with two laurel branches in relief, joined together at the bottom, and bears the names of the dead and the time of their death: 1912 - 22 Vythoulkas Spyridon, Soulis Vasileios / 1940 - 41 Andronas Eleftherios, Vythoulkas Konstantinos, Zougras Spyridon, Haikalis Konstantinos / 1944 National Resistance Kouroumalos Yannis (by mistake writes Konstantinos), Sourbis Andreas. They are the two residents of the community, who were arrested and hanged on August 17, 1944, in the square of Agios Markos of the city, by the Germans.
