All about Zakynthos

In the square of the church of Agios Kirykos, a column - a heroon has been placed, covered with rectangular slabs of marble. On the front side there is a slab with two laurel branches in relief, joined at the bottom by a ribbon and between them an engraved inscription: "Honor and Glory to the fighters of the Freedom and National Resistance". The memorial is crowned by a stone effigy of a dove. A protective iron railing separates the monument from the rest of the square.
