Next to the church of Agios Ioannis, in the village of Galaro, in 1984, a stone monument was constructed, which has the emblem of peace and a lamp representation engraved on the front, and has Kalvos' verses from the ode "Eis Samon" engraved on the front: "Freedom needs virtue and courage!" A. Calvos, / Galaro 1984. The monument is crowned by a representation of an ancient decorated crown of a column.
