Column with the names of the fallen in Meso Gerakario

In the courtyard of the church of the Ag. Triados of Meso Gerakari, next to the bell tower, there is a marble column in memory of the fallen soldiers. On the upper part of the column there is a relief of a wreath made of laurel branches tied with tape at the top, while at the bottom of the column there is a relief of a flowers container. On the front of the monument is the inscription: 'The community of Meso Gerakario honouring its children who died heroically for their faith and country'. Struzan Petron Sp. Sergeant 1918 / Krezian Ioannis Dim. soldier 1921 / Papageorgopoulos Nik. Georg. 1912 / Latas Panagiotis Dionysiou Erected this memorial column in their eternal memory. Vorrisis Ioann. Dem. Soldier 1940 / Danias Spyridon Dion. 1948 On the back side of the column is engraved the following inscription and their names: Deceased Soldiers who died in the wars Children of the Community of Meso Gerakari / Strouzas Andreas Spyridon Soldier 1918 / Kypriotis Dionysios Aloisiou / Vorrisis Anastasios Ioannou / Kypriotis Dionysios George / Papageorgopoulos Petros Ioann. 1919 / Latas Panagiotis Dionysios Dionysiou 1921 / Latas Spyridon Georgiou 1922 / Vorrisis Konstantinos Ioannou 1957 / Vorrisis Ioannis Kon. 1937 In the local newspaper "O Agrotis" year A', p. 5/17.4.1930 there is an article where it refers in detail to the ceremony of the unveiling of the monument and the speeches on behalf of the officials (apparently the names of those killed after the year 1930 were added later).
