All about Zakynthos

The marble bust of the Belgian anatomist Andreas Vesal (1515 - 1564), the work of the sculptor Vassiliou, was placed in 1965, behind the building of OTE (Hellenic Telecommunications), on a median strip that defines the traffic of the street. Next to it was placed the "Lesson in Anatomy", during the celebrations held to mark the 500th anniversary of his birth and the 450th anniversary of the death of the great Anatomist.
