All about Zakynthos

In St. Mark's Square, the Catholics of the island decorated the creche. The whole construction was something special. The dolls representing the various holy persons and animals stood out. The decoration of green mosses that came out of the garden behind the church and were spread out on the floor of the creche was also characteristic. It is worth mentioning that decorating Christmas trees was not used in Zakynthos in the past. Consequently the nativity scene was something special , originating from the religious tableaux vivants of the Catholics.
