The imposing church of Agia Mavra is located in the beautiful paved forecourt, dominated by the tower-like Venetian belfry with its four bells.
Inside it is kept her miraculous icon adorned by countless tributes - ornaments of the faithful. Once the interior of the church was a work of unique religious and artistic value with the luxury, the images, the unique compositions with the wonderful colors, the woodcarvings and especially with the gold-carved Zakynthian Baroque iconostasis. All this unfortunately until December 2005 when the interior of the church burned down. The church celebrates every year on May 3, Saint Mavra. On the day of the celebration, an all-nighter takes place and the whole village stays up all night and celebrates its patron saint. The festival takes place on the first 10 days of July and it is certain that you will have fun since it is rich and an important event.
