All about Zakynthos

Koutsoulis had his shop in the square of Agios Pavlos before the earthquake and sold everything from scrap metal and bricks to parmanes and manauvian items.

Every morning when he opened his shop he would shout "Pontison" and throw a large anchor with a long chain at the opposite corner of the Logothetis mansion.

The anchor stayed in the square all day long and when the time came for the shops to close at night, Koutsoulis would come to the square and shout "Eparsis"

and his assistants were pulling the anchor inside the shop that was about to close.
