All about Zakynthos

The mansion of the late ogenia Savatou was used as a seminary for the Jesuits.

Pavlos Kommoutos and other Zakynthians studied there.

The balcony of the first floor façade was supported by three stone statues representing Lot between his daughters.

The second floor was destroyed in the earthquakes of 1893 and was replaced roughly until 1953 when the whole building succumbed to fire.
